I like to shoot ducks because they don't shoot back.  These were taken at our local city zoo, the Como park zoo, on a cloudy morning.  The ducks in the pond are very tame.  The water lillies are blooming too.

I am not exactly sure how to make this a 50 word post.  I always struggle with that.  We all know that brevity is the soul of wit and that one picture is worth a thousand words.  OK, done, that must be 50 words.

Nice pics!  I saw little ducks like these in front of a downtown Orlando hotel.  No water in sight!  Maybe they had a room.

Your ducks are wonderful.  They make me smile, okay is that enough words for points?  I really do love your ducks.

Teresa, I'm glad to see you use a camera to shoot your duck rather than the more lethal weapons of choice. Steve

Steve - No lethal weapons, g rated all the way.

Miriam - I respect your need to use few words. If you want to leave comments on my photo posts for points just paste in the word photo ten times or somthing.

Hotel ducks are no as special as Minnesota ducks. LOL

I didn't see ducklings at my favorite "watering spot" this year.  Plenty of Mallards and Buffleheads, but no babies. I did get to shoot some adorable goslings. But with my point and shoot I can only get so close without one of the "parents" trying to turn me into foie gras. They are pretty protective.  Beautiful pictures!

I'm glad you meant photo "shoot" ducks. Was concerned Theresa was going goofy on us!

All the best,

Beth

Teresa,

Just took another look. Any one of these photos would make a nice calendar. In fact if you did another 7,you could do a whole year for just ducks. There must be a market somewhere.
