Gaithersburg Green Month

 

Proclamation
With an official proclamation, the Mayor and City Council designated April as “Gaithersburg Green Month” and April 21 as “Arbor Day” in the City of Gaithersburg. Environmental Affairs Committee Chair Janette Rosenbaum accepted this year’s proclamation at the April 4 Mayor and City Council meeting

 

Activities
This year’s Green Month includes a variety of activities that celebrate and improve the environment. Offerings include park clean-ups, a screening of the film “Inhabitants,” an Arbor Day celebration, a community shredding event, story time programs, a Fix It Fair, and much more. Explore all Green Month activities here

 

Environmental Award Winners
Throughout the month, Gaithersburg will be recognizing environmental stewards in our community. Collectively, the individuals and organizations are growing our local green economy, improving their business models with sustainable initiatives, working within their neighborhoods, and inspiring a new green generation.
