Nerdin Gardens: Thankfully, I’ve Come to My Senses!
While walking the perimeter of Nerdin Gardens:
Every Sound brings attention to a new direction. Chirping birds are nesting, anticipating their eggs hatching, ensuring another generation. Bees are gathering food from the many blossoms dotting the landscapes.
Am excited to Touch green grass again. Bare feet meeting the delicate blades of green grass tickles the toes. Soon, we will hide decorated eggs, awaiting the arrival of the Grandbabies and the Easter Bunny himself!
The Sight of new growth ignites the eye line. Bursts of color in every direction, from reds to pinks, to purples, to neon yellows to pristine white. The orchard is in full bloom, anticipating branches heavily laden with fruit.
A Smell here, there and everywhere. Lilac bushes are actively pursuing the olfactory receptors, along with pungent, sweet Honeysuckle vines. Pine trees boast tender growth from the ends of long, tenured branches.
And the Taste buds are instantly alive! A pinch of Rosemary placed on the tongue lends promise to future, flavorful meals with a robust, woodsy accent. Italian Oregano adds a sweet and spicy mix to sauces and soups.
Though the back yard garden is still in the early stages of growth, there is much promise to reach full potential. Sincere nurturing, consistent methods implemented daily and attentive garden helpers ensure success.
