Can't see the forest for the trees?
People may lose perspective or get lost in the details of a contract, lending to feelings of helplessness. Homeowner's foregoing agent representation, thinking selling a property comes easy, sets a good example.
I received a call from a woman doing a FSBO, after rationalizing that was her best choice at the time until a lot of traffic came through, netting a verbal offer from an interested party. She was unable to move forward.
We met and she agreed to representation, signed the necessary paperwork and got to work! I sent over a Comparable Market Analysis to ensure the property was at current market value. She went under contract.
Her confusion quickly turned to elation with set deadlines and a closing date. Being helpful and listening to her needs opened the door, allowing clarity again, while getting to the end of a successful sales transaction.
She now could see the forest and the trees as she happily headed to her daughter's house to spend time with the family!
