Any advice for a second year Agent?

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty

My first year in real estate went great and i exceeded the averages.  Then comes year #2 and it's flattened out for me. My company (Keller Williams) has incredible training and support. I guess i'm looking to see if any other agents in there second year are having the same struggles I am. I have several listings and buyers and just seem to be spinning my wheels.

Any thoughts ya'll?

Usually the first year is harder than the rest.  Some people come shooting out of the gate and then have a few hard years after that.  Everyone has different experiences.  I struggled for the first couple of years before things started happening.

Here in California it has been really tough due to all the short sales and foreclosures (unless you are an REO or short sales specialist). There is still business out there but it is a lot more difficult than it has been over the last several years. Find a niche that nobody else i your area is filling and become the best at that niche. You will succeed!... especially when the market turns up again!
