Like everyone else, I'm affected by the slow market. However I refuse to use it as a crutch and an excuse as I see so many people in the real estate community doing. Sure we are in a slow market but people will always need a place to live. Therefore it is only natural that people will always be buying and selling houses. We just have work smarter and harder to get it done. Startin this blog to network with people is one way I'm trying to work harder and smarter!
Heather - Good for you.
We are in a market that may seem slow, but the buyers are out and looking for a great deal. Best thing you can do is focus on all the things you don't usually have time for. Like - family, friends and clients. When was the last time you had a moment to take a client to lunch and ask if they know any looking for a home?
This might be a hard market, but let your clients know you are still in the business.

Dear heather
First of all welcome to Active Rain, you found a great way to work "smarter"
and you are so right, I could not agree more, a lot of agents just "sit and wait" right now.
Well, they will be "sitting and waiting" for a long time

It is hard right now. I seem to be struggling with selling some of my listings. That is true that people need a place to live, but they don't always need to buy a place to have a place to live.
Heather , welcome aboard I recommend you fill in the "Tags" and when someone writes a comment to you it is customary to thank them, maybe look at their blogs and start following the people you have a common interest with. Lastly find a few people blogging near you, people who you could share a deal with or offer a relocation service too. Best of Luck, I look Forward to reading your stuff, warm regards, Steve Loynd.
Hi Heather - Nice Post. Welcome to ActiveRain, I look forward to networking with you and reading your future post. Have A Great Day!!!
