Who knew! Back in December of 2006 that ActiveRain would still be rocking FAR beyond any expectations that many of us had and it still does to this day! Reflecting on all the awesome relationships that have been created, all the learning, all the positivity, all the fun and everything else in between still amazes me. All this and much more from an online platform? You've got to be kidding me? Nope I'm not! ActiveRain Rocks!
For the first year or so I was a lurker and really had no idea of what blogging was about. My Internet coach told me that I need to start blogging and getting ranked on google. Huh? Why? So I took her advice and wrote my first blog. It was clearly was a nothing burger! But from that lowly first attempt at blogging I continued to learn from the best of the best on ActiveRain how to blog, what was important to blog, how to rank on google - albeit it was so easy in the early days, not as much these days - but it can be done! Be sure to read Liz and Bill Spear (Bill's) Ambassador Post every Tuesday and you'll learn from one of the best of the best bloggers in the Rain!
For several years I took every webinar possible, went to RainCamps, presented at the Prescott RainCamp, started teaching about blogging on ActiveRain in the CE classes I taught in the Phoenix area........... and the the meetups started! Here in Phoenix, Jan Green and I hosted many meetups! It was a blast meeting so many Rainers - both from in town and from out of town - much to our surprise - including Carol Williams , Dick Greenberg , Wanda Kubat-Nerdin - Wanda Can! and many more! It was all a blast! And the good news is..... the meetups continue to this day!! We just had one the other night at Nancy Laswick home! And more meetups to come soon! And if you're from out of town - come and surprise us!! We love surprises!
I jumped into the rain and am so glad I did!
There are so many awesome people here in the rain that it's impossible to mention all of you without writing a book! I am so grateful and appreciative for your friendship! The genuine friendships is what has made ActiveRain the incredible community that it is today. Thank you All!
ActiveRain Rocks!
