HAPPY LEI DAY - HAU‘OLI LA LEI
LEI DAY IS BACK!
May 1st or Lei Day, although not an official holiday, is widely celebrated throughout the Hawaiian archipelago with a variety of activities and entertainments. The past 2 years put a damper on things but this year the celebrations are back!
In Honolulu, the annual festival is free to the public and centers in Kapiolani Park with other activities dotted throughout the city. There are performances by the Royal Hawaiian Band, hula, an inauguration ceremony for the Lei Day Queen and Court, lei contest and exhibits, storytelling, Hawaiian games, food and craft vendors.
