WHERE TO CELEBRATE CINCO DE MAYO IN CHARLOTTE, NC
Cinco de Mayo is known as El Día de la Batalla de Puebla (The Day of the Battle of Puebla) in Mexico. This battle is re-enacted every year in Mexico City. Contrary to what many people think, Cinco de Mayo is not Mexican Independence Day.
Cinco de Mayo is more than just a day to eat tacos and drink margaritas, although you should definitely enjoy some today. Cinco de Mayo is a day to celebrate Mexicans’ cultural pride, courage, and resilience.
