Show Them How Much You Care
There are so many old and great sayings:
they will never remember what you did but they'll remember how you made them feel.
Nobody cares how much you know until they know how much you care. - Theodore Roosevelt
One person caring about another represents life's greatest value. - Jim Rohn
A smile is a light in your window that tells others that there is a caring, sharing person inside. - Denis Waitley
Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. - Leo Buscaglio
I feel the capacity to care is the thing which gives life its deepest significance. - Pablo Casals
And, there are so many more.
I got a call tonight from Margaret Rome, first thing she says is "what did I catch you in the middle of?" Tonight, I was waiting to see the Doctor in urgent care and I wasn't feeling particularly cared for. I had been trying for 2 weeks to see a doctor for what started out as being clogged ears from allergies fast forward to tonight it had blossomed into a full-blown ear infection that was so bad that the doctor couldn't even see my eardrum or the ear canal. I was in urgent care on Friday with the beginnings of the infection and was dismissed by the doctor and told to go home and put hydrogen peroxide and water drops in the ears. The medical profession is tired, they are drained after losing so many practitioners to covid and as a result of covid there are fewer doctors and fewer nurses, and our, the patient, care is suffering. Thanks for caring, Margaret Rome Baltimore 410-530-2400 !
