HOPE FLOATS ONCE AGAIN AT THE US NATIONAL WHITEWATER CENTER IN CHARLOTTE, NC!
ADOPT A RUBBER DUCK NOW!
Sponsored by KinderMourn, the 2022 "Hope Floats" Duck Race will take place at the U.S. National Whitewater Center in Charlotte on Sunday, May 15th. Some 5,000 Charlotteans are expected to line the banks of the main channel to watch 40,000+ adopted, sun-glass wearing, rubber duckies brave the whitewater rapids towards the finish line. The "duck splash" and race begin at 3:30 pm. There is a grand prize of $2,500 if your duck is the first to cross the finish line. Come early at 2:00 pm and enjoy family entertainment until the race begins.
The "Hope Floats" Duck Race is in support of KinderMourn's 44-year mission to provide counseling and support services for parents grieving the death of a child, as well as to children and teens grieving the death of a parent, sibling or loved one. KinderMourn believes that no one should grieve alone.
This year, KinderMourn's goal is to float 40,000 ducks. To-date 38,384 rubber ducks have been adopted. There's still time to adopt a duck for this Sunday's Race and to help reach the goal of 40,000 ducks.
