I lost my Scarf

When you live in a climate as cold as North Dakota's it's a good idea to own a scarf or two. An option for the men is to grow a beard. I usually do grow one for the winter and then shave it off in the Spring. While it seems like Summer is never going to get here I decided it was close enough. Today was "brave the shave" day for me.

Good morning Bob,

The scarf was cleaned and put away after St. Patrick's day, as well as the snowblower!

As to a beard, for me, I could have started years ago and it would have been patches here and there and not amounting too much!

Make yourself an awesome day.

You mention something in this post that I had never considered before.  And, that is that beards are an insulator against cold weather.  I learned something new today!

I don't wear scarves. I know they keep us warmer, and they look very nice, but I just don't like stuff around my neck. Luckily I have jackets that zip up high.

I don't think I have ever worn a scarf and I am quite proud of that, haha.  My Mom crotchets scarves for people and they love to receive them.

Good morning, Bob... can't say I ever thought about a beard acting as a scarf... and here I was getting ready to send you a scarf for the one you "lost."

Good morning Bob. I have never grown a beard but I do own a scarf or two. Never used the scarfs until the last few years. Now I use them all the time during winter. Looking good without that beard by the way! Enjoy your day.

I can't seem to grow anything on top Raymond E. Camp but I have a very thick beard and can grow a full one in a months time.

Myrl Jeffcoat I am not exaggerating when I say my beard is absolutory impenetrable as far as the wind and cold are concerned.

Roy Kelley , I used to grow one every year (and I'm back to it now) but there was a few years when it first turned grey that I quit because it bummed me out.

Kat Palmiotti , when I am not "bearded up" I have to wear a scarf or take other measures to stay warm.

Brian England feel free to drop my name by your mothers so I can stay warm those years I skip the beard.

Thanks Wayne Martin , it is fun for me to change my look every once in a while. I do not remember the last time I did a spring shave without shaving my head as well BUT for now I'm kind of liking the look.
