Elk vs. Lawn Chair

By
Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker Schneidmiller Realty SP000

I was at East Side Lake Coeur d'Alene today.  I couldn't believe what I saw when driving by the Elk Ranch at the US Hwy 95 and Rockford Bay Road intersection.  I wish the photo was clearer but I was on Hwy 95 when I pulled over to take the photo.

Sorry little darling, wrong end!  This cute little Elk has a Green Plastic Lawn Chair on his neck.

Don't worry, it was only on him for a few minutes. He wasn't in any pain and he wasn't injured. It just makes you wonder "What was he Thinking" when he stuck his head through the back of the chair? Do you think he was trying to figure out how to sit in it?

I have been looking for that chair.  Thanks for finding it for me.  Got to wonder how it got there.

It's like the elk version of those ducklings that get strangled to death by the plastic rings that hold a 6-pack of Cokes together.  I'm very glad that no elk were injured in the taking of this photo!  Or subsequently.  :)

It was definately a double take.  No one at the Ranch could figure out how the Elk even got hold of that green plastic lawn chair.  They won't be leaving chairs anywhere near the herd again.  He didn't have it on for very long ...he was perfectly fine, thank goodness!
