The Hurry Up and Wait Game

By
Real Estate Agent with Century 21 Crest

Is the time that you spend waiting for the acceptance of an offer spent in an alternate universe?  The hours drag.  Your clients call.  You call the agent.  More waiting while they try to get an answer out of their clients.  I really feel for my clients who want this house so badly.  And still the clock doesn't move.  It is a good offer.  My clients have great jobs and are a terrific couple.  The offer SHOULD be accepted.  Still we wait.

Do you remember when you were a little kid and it seemed like forever until school was out?  Or your birthday came?  Or Christmas arrived?  Time is such a relative thing.  The older I get, the faster it goes.  UNLESS I am waiting for an offer to be accepted!

We have a buyer who put a good offer in on an REO and we keep hearing that they will accept it but it has been 6+ weeks!  Talk about losing your mind!

Short sales are taking forever again.. if the lenders really wanted to solve the housing crises .. they would hire loss mitigation agents. Heck stop funding all these fake funding bills and congress and start funding / mandating staffing regulations for lenders that want to use FHA funding.
