One of the things I run in to a lot when it comes to fixing peoples credit is that they get paid only once a month. That may be on the 5^th of the month, yet their credit card bills come on the 20^th and are due on the 3^rd of the next month. This makes their bill late every month without fail.

But, as someone who used to work for a credit card company, did you know you can call them and request the date your bill is sent out? This little known secret is often not even known by the people who answer the phones at your credit card company.

What I suggest, if you are in this situation, is that you call your credit card company and have the date of your bill be changed to the 2^nd, so it arrives to you on the 5^th when you get paid and then...BAM no more late payment charges!

If the person you talk to at customer service says that they can't do this, I suggest you talk to a supervisor, because it can be done, they just don't know how to do it!
