OLD GLORY COAST TO COAST - SECOND POST FOR FLAG DAY

The picture above is Old Glory proudly displayed on the corner and front porch of the historic Kear House on Underhill Ave in Yorktown Heights.  Kear was a supervisor of the town many years ago.  Now the house is the home of the Grace & Grace law firm.  This is also the home of the Yorktown Chamber of Commerce.

What a wonderful location for a networking mixer in this very patriotic backdrop.

Walk down Underhill Ave to the Pinebridge Monument below.

Fought within Yorktown’s borders, the “Battle of Pines Bridge” was one of the bloodiest small unit actions in the first military undertaking of this great nation, the War for Independence.

Hi Grant,

There is so much history to take in.  It is wonderful to see a post from one of the original colonies! We just don't have that deep history to the founding of our country out in the wild west.
