A recent article from realtor.com outlined the top elements homeowners look for in kitchen remodels (even if the design community disagrees!), including:

• Granite countertops. While many design experts opt for marble countertops, with the wide array of options, granite remains a popular choice for many homeowners looking for style, functionality, and durability when remodeling their kitchen countertops.
• White kitchens. While colorful kitchens are a major design trend for 2022, many homeowners prefer the clean, streamlined look of a white kitchen. White remains a popular choice in kitchen remodels for everything from wall paint to cabinets to countertops.
• Open kitchens. During the pandemic, many designers and architects embraced well-defined spaces over open floor plans—and that includes the kitchen. But many homeowners never lost their love for the open concept kitchen—and in today’s market, many are opting to open up their kitchen during the renovation process.
