Your "Old Gold!"

By
Real Estate Agent with BCR Realtors 262359

Yes you have heard the ads .

Bring us your old gold, your broken gold and silver! For quick cash call 1800-You Sucker! That's right you have old gold lying around the house gathering dust. Trade it in for some CASH and then gert some new gold for yourself!

I am really growing tedious of hearing these ads. I hear them on the radio and TV all day. Do they really think we are fools? I suspect you may be better off taking your Old Gold to the local pawn shop dealer, or your local jewler if you just need the cash or just have to have new gold to keep up with the neighbors.

But I still can't get over the "Old Gold" title. I was under the impression all gold was old, old as dirt. Actually gold is a mineral, so in a way it is a form of dirt, I suppose.

Maybe I'll start a similar campaign on real estate!

"Bring Me Your Old Real Estate!"  I'll pay cash for that old piece of land you have gathering trash in downtown Houston or Dallas.  Hurry , you could then turn around and by some newer land and we'll show you how to do it tax free with a 1031 exchange! Hurry , Hurry, Hurry! We buy old real estate!

Funny post!  Gold is peaking right now and a friend of mine saw a lady receive $250 for a small bracelet.  I wouldn't mail my old gold in a postage free envelope though.  LOL

Trey, that real estate in the photo certainly looks as old as dirt!  When I was a little kid, my Dad used to smoke Old Gold cigarettes.  I could never figure out what the smokes had to do with old gold, either...

Hey Trey - I think it is possible that oil may be underneath that asphalt. Oil is good as gold therefore that property is worth its weight in gold.

Great post.  What geographic areas do you look at?  Also, can we work with you on their 1031 exchanges?
