One of the best marketing tools that we have on our area for a full turn out dedicated crowd that has their attention on us is the 4th of July Parade.  This single event that takes place once a year gives us an entire morning to let people know we are part of the community and that we are here for them.

We follow this up with other local events such as The Art Festival, Blueberry Festival and in the off season Ice Breaker Festival.

So how many of you participate in these types of events???

4 Comments on 4th of July Parade anyone???

Yes, parades are great.  Anna Maria Island has a parade on the 4th and it runs the entire island.  Some throw beads we throw hard candy.  A great source for hard candy is Bulk Foods.com...I have considered small frisbee's or beach balls but curious if anyone has tried these as free passouts or found inexpensive sources for over one thousand marketing items...maybe pens?

I have a larger blog that shows area events - link and should have 2008 4th parade on the blog if anyone is interested.  Good stuff!

Beads is a very interesting idea and would be incredible if you can get them with your company logo on them.

Also, I did Frisbee's a few years back and was great, although I would say that you have to be careful when handing them out.  We had one agent who was throwing the Frisbee's at people and missing them and hitting the homes and store fronts.

As for candy, that is always a hit with the children and families...

The Parade was a massive success for our company.  Everything came together and we shined bright as an office...
