Today my nephew and I watched Forrest Gump. He had never seen it since it came out the year he was 
born. My husband and I were talking the night before and we had quoted something in the movie. It was kind of funny to see my 14 yr old nephew face when he looked at the adults at the table like we had two heads because he didn't know anything of the movie. I told him we had it and we could watch it he wanted to.
I had to laugh inside because I can remember looking at my adult parents when they talked about a movie they had seen and I didn't know what they were talking about at their age. I realized that I had officially gotten to the other side; looking old to kids
Anyway I wrote this because:
•1. I forgot how good that movie is. And if you haven't seen it in a while, see it again
•2. I was happy to share something with my nephew that I enjoyed at his age and glad he did too
•3. OH MY GOODNESS THAT MOVIE IS 14 YEARS OLD!!! Where did the time go?
He really liked the movie...or he said he did so he didn't hurt my feelings. Great movie and it doesn't matter that it is 14 years old!
