A friend and I went to the grand opening for a new Lake Travis waterfront and equestrian subdivision a couple of weekends ago and it was a blast.  The developer spent a lot of money to draw people out.  After an excellent meal, we went o a helicopter ride over Lake Travis and then had massages by the lake.  Then we just sat around enjoying food and beverages like tourests at a resort.  Check out some of the Lake Travis helicopter tour photos.

Oh, I forgot one thing - we actually did look at the plat and prices and drove some lots.  Interior home sites are starting at $300,000 and waterfront goes for from around $600,000 to over $2 million.  Yes, I said home sites, not homes.  People with tons of money have discovered Lake Travis - it isn't a secret any more.
