As much money as these individuals have, and as many people they have in their "entourage" whether it be a manager, stylist, security etc.. You would think that they would invest more wisely, or at least pay someone to manage their finances so that things like that wouldn't happen to them!!!

It always blows me away when Celebs don't manage their money.  Do you think they think that they are going to always be great actors, great singers, fighters, athletes forever? Is it their ego?  Is there someone standing beside them saying "Yes, your da man/woman, you can afford it"  With all the professionals these people can afford, you would think someone would have the sense to kind of roll them in...I guess MC Hammer said it best "Can't touch this" but meant "can't spend this"

It is way more than them Pac Man Williams Dallas Cowboys and Latrell Sprewell from the NBA. Let pray for all of these people. My grandmother used to say. Them today me tomorrow. Always remember that.

Someone should offer to buy out Courtney Love and then fix the place up and sell it as a "celebrity owned" home!  Put photos of Kurt on the wall or something :)

The truly sad part is someone will come out of the woodwork and help them.  I know for a fact Jay Leno has offered assistance to Ed McMahon.  But what about the average middle income family????  I guess they just get lost.....

It's sad to see so much wealth evaporate. Where are their financial planners?

Just remember bad money management practices don't care how much money we have or don't have.

So the banks won't do a short sale on these homes?  Hmmm...no, I guess forgiving $20,000 is a little different than forgiving $2M.

I agree with Leeshay, making a lot of money doesn't guarantee in any way that it will be managed properly.

This blog makes me think of Peter Frampton.  When Frampton was one of the biggest musical acts in the 1970's (Frampton Comes Alive) and he quickly became broke.  It happens to far more people than we ever hear about.
