What is happening with home prices?

By
Real Estate Agent with KW Advisors BRE 01456626

If you’re a homeowner or are planning to become one soon, you’re probably looking for clear information about today’s housing market.

One of the biggest questions people are asking right now is: what’s happening with home prices?

Part of the challenge is that it can be hard to understand what experts are saying when the words they use sound similar. Let’s break down the differences among those terms to help clarify what’s actually happening today.

𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 is when home prices increase.

𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 is when home prices decrease.

𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 is when home prices continue to appreciate, but at a slower or more moderate pace.

The best way to make sure you get what you need is to work with an expert. If you have questions about what's happening with home prices or the housing market, I  would be happy to answer any of your real estate questions.

Good morning Chris. Succinct and well put. Deceleration and depreciation have one thing in common, they both begin with "d". Enjoy your day.

That is an important distinction, Chris. I wish the talking heads would realize that too.

So true! Some pp think prices are going to drop drastically--I don't think they will, at least in my area.  there is still a lot of demand.  The market is becoming more balanced as it should be.

Good for buyers and sellers to understand the difference between these words we hear about every day ... education is needed in today's market to make the right decision for you!
