As many of you I am sure are aware of, Joan Cox is currently on a Pacific Northwest Road Trip and sharing photos of her trip along the way.
A recent post stated how she was surprised there are no changing of colors yet. I have noticed the same here in North Idaho. My personal feelings are that we did not have the harsh summer temps we had last year in North Idaho. Nor have we been inundated with smoke from fires.
Above photo is first sprinkling of color seen at my yard. Oddly enough this is virtually the only tree showing signs of fall. You would think there would be a sprinkling, of colors to come, thru-out all the trees or at least some. Either way Fall is around the corner and coming fast.
September in Sandpoint Idaho is special. While the warmer summer temperatures will still be fighting to stay, the cool, to cold nights, and shorter days will prevail. My favorite time of year, to be honest, as we head into winter.
