Happy Labor Day 2022

Every year, we celebrate Labor Day on the first Monday of September, and this year on Monday September 5, 2022, we celebrate Labor Day. Many of us will travel, visit friends and relatives, celebrate and enjoy Labor Day Weekend with family and friends, but this year is kind of different.

New York was the first state to introduce legislature for the holiday, but Oregon first passed Labor Day Holiday in 1887. The very first Labor Day was celebrated before it was passed into law in New York City on Tuesday, September 5, 1882. Labor Day became a federal holiday on June 28, 1894 when Congress passed an act designating the first Monday of September to be the legal day for the holiday.

For many people Labor Day weekend is the end of the summer for outdoor activities, take trips to visit friends and family.
