2022 Wavecrest Woodie Meet in Encinitas

The world’s longest running woodie festival takes place September 16th through the 18th in Encinitas. This is the 43rd event!
The Wavecrest Woodie Meet kicks off Thursday evening with the last Encinitas Classic Car Night for 2022.
Friday night is the Welcome Party at 5 pm at the host hotel, the Best Western. The hotel is a short distance from Moonlight Beach. This is a “No Host Taco Truck,” with beer, wine, and other beverages available.
Saturday is the big Woodie meet with around 200 Woodies on display in the parking lot above the beach from 8 am until 2 pm. The day ends with a dinner (limited tickets) at the Best Western. Dinner starts at 5:30 pm followed by an auction. (this is not a photo from the actual event by courtesy of Pixabay).
I’ve heard the Wavecrest Woodie Meet is the largest of its kind in the world. So you’re sure to see tons of car admirers and collectors, along with beautiful cars.
Expect lots of people gathering to admire these magnificent cars, trade stories, and enjoy the beach and surf. Plus hang out at one of the best beaches in Southern California.
No doubt there will be plenty of surfing music to enjoy, good food (perhaps a food truck or two?) at the Concession Stand on the beach, and Wavecrest memorabilia (t-shirts, posters) to buy.
The Festival ends on Sunday morning starting at 8:30 with a cruise of Woodies up the coast road.
