Motivational Monday…Surround Yourself
Today we celebrate Positive Thinking Day and what better day than on a Monday when we begin a new week!
So I say let’s work at surrounding ourselves with people, places, and things that elicit that upbeat feeling that makes us ready to meet the day.
As humans, we’re often drawn to the bleak. Don’t deny it! How many of us turn and look at accidents!? If soaps, television, and reality shows were all lollipops and roses no one would watch them!
However, having a positive attitude is good for our health, our relationships (work and personal), and our quality of life.
SOME THINGS YOU CAN DO TO SURROUND YOURSELF WITH POSITIVITY
*Choose to be around people who are upbeat
* When those around you take the negative path, choose another
* Take time each day (or throughout the day) to say what you are grateful for
*When you find yourself in a funk…STOP, think of one thing or person you are grateful for and that brings you joy.
*Do or give to someone else. Nothing takes your mind off your own troubles better than focusing on someone else.
* BE In THE MOMENT…this isn’t always easy but stop and look around you. Consider what you have at that moment…who you are with…what you are doing.
