Above are the flowers which come out at night or early morning.
Below are the ripe pink fruits. We planted a bunch of vines 3 years ago and this year we harvested over 20 fruits, and still a few more to come. These vines are super easy to grow in Haiku Maui and we're planting more!
I slice them in half and then cut the halves into slices with the skin on so they're easy to pick up. They you just bite the centers and eat the fruit, while discarding the pink peel. They have a texture sort of like a kiwi fruit - with the tiny black seeds that you eat, but they're sweet and not tart like a kiwi - just soft and sweet with a little crunch of seeds... very refreshing.
