Tacky marketing or down right good stuff?

Island Real Estate keeps fairly accurate records of why we receive Real Estate inquiries and we get a high percentage of calls off our Real Estate signs. I don't think many of you are surprised by that.

I would love a little feedback...this year we are modifying our Real Estate sign posts to accommodate small American Flags for the 4th of July. We will be attaching the American Flag to our sign posts to both attract attention and of course show our passion for Independence Day. It is fairly easy for someone to remove the flags and we expect a good portion of them to be used on the 4th of July and thats what we hope for. We will go back through the next week and remove the flags to show our respect for the American flag so they are not littering our streets.

I named my company American Classic Homes and like the flag, so I think it's still pretty cool.

Larry it sounds like a great idea to me 3 cheers for the Red, WHite and Blue!

Make sure you put your company name, number and website on the flag sticks (or somewhere) so that when people take them, they know who sponsored it.

That is a great idea. Our biggest competitor hands out over 5,500 flags in the 4th of July parade every year...

What is great is that so many people put them in their yards...

We also had a husband & wife Realtor combo in town that used to place the small flags with a business card on everyones front lawn every 4th of July ...

I think putting the flags on the sign posts is a great idea as long as you are responsible for removing them. We used to have a realtor that put a flag in our yard with her card on it. Not a good idea because we have many snowbirds who do not live here year round.
