Wordless Wednesday…International Day of Peace

 

Today is the International Day of Peace as declared by the United Nations. I read somewhere that Peace isn’t just something we celebrate but something we continue to build. 

 

 

Besides peace in the world (wouldn't that be wonderful)...we can work on peace within our families…our workplace…neighbors…people we don’t even know. 

 

It is up to us to make our own PEACE… learn to say a kind word (sometimes even if you don’t mean it)... offer an olive branch to someone…sit down with someone to discuss and learn, not a lecture. 

 

 

Peace cannot be kept by force; it can only be achieved by understanding.

The very first test I took in college was in political science.  We had to write our thoughts on the line, "If you want peace, prepare for war."  I much prefer your quotes.  😃

Hi Kathy,
I believe peace starts from a foundation within ourselves. If WE are not at peace we certainly aren't going to be able to spread it.
