- Custom Modular Homes by Westchester Modular are NOT of lesser quality. They are actually constructed to higher standards and much stronger with the same or better quality materials and components than traditional site built/stick built homes. They feature up to 30% more structural lumber. This is done to enable us to transport and lift the various sections of your new home onto the foundation without damaging anything. Our homes always meet and/or exceed your state and local building codes and are exceedingly strong and tight.
- Custom Modular Homes by Westchester Modular are NOT more expensive than traditional site built/stick built homes. Actually custom modular homes are less expensive since modular construction cuts the overall built time by as much as half compared to traditional site/stick built homes of the same size. Many times you can get a better and nicer house for the same price as a comparable on site/stick built home. Additions such as wrap around porches, decks, patios and pools, just to name a few, are also available through your builder.
- Custom Modular Homes do NOT have problems with financing and appraisals. Lenders and appraisers treat custom modular homes the same as on site/stick built homes since modular homes are actually stick built homes which happen to be constructed indoors in a climate controlled setting. They are then transported to the site, assembled and attached to a permanent foundation just like any other home built to code. Therefore, they are valued and appreciate the same way as any traditional on site/stick built home.
- Custom Modular Homes do NOT look all the same and are NOT cheaply built. Actually they can be highly customized and be built in any style, layout and size. There are virtually no limitations on what can be done. Even their interior finishes are completely customizable. Luxury appliances, smart home features and other add ons and upgrades are readily available through your builder. Custom modular homes have around 30% more lumber in them and therefore are of a stronger, better quality built than traditional on site/stick built homes.
