It’s Friday and time for some fun and for some SMILES.  Today is World Smile Day and the theme is “Do an act of kindness, help one person smile.”

 

Because you’re YOU, there’s no need for requests for acts of kindness. This community is all about being kind to each other. 

 

 

So for Friday Fun…I ask you to share with us a few things that make you smile. 

 

What makes me smile?  I’m almost always smiling but here are a few things that bring a big smile to my face…

Family

Puppies

Flowers

Other people smiling

Laughter

  A text or call from a friend or family member
  The sinking of a nice long putt
  The first coffee of the morning
  A Mani/Pedi with a friend
  Memories of my sweet husband

I do like sinking a nice long putt, Carol Williams, but what really brings a big smile for me is a crisp 7 iron to within a few feet of the pin.  It does not happen often, but when it does...

Good morning Kathy,

Love your list of things that make you smile. Add the ones from Carol Williams minus the sinking of  long put (I don't golf anymore) and add spending time with my grandchildren and that would be a good start on my list!

Hello Kathy - each day is an opportunity to find a smile.  This quote from Dr Seuss is smile-worthy for me.  Don't cry because it's over.  Smile because it happened.  Putting things in perspective may not prompt a load of laughter but it can offer a poignant moment.  And that can be refreshing when looking at the bigger picture.

Even the most sullen faced person tends to smile back if you give them a smile. Some people have the best smiles, I love it when someone in a shop is smiling, it makes it more fun to interact with them. A good joke makes me laugh, but many jokes make me smile. Young children usually make me smile as they are just enjoying life without all the stuff we learn later.
