Why stay in the states? Oh sure, America is wonderful, but why stop there, why not diversify overseas? Why not Europe? Why not Greece? Greece is the last place in Europe to have the great deals. Greece has 10 million people ~ the city of Seoul in Korea has 10 million people. Can you imagine how rural Greece is? Greece is full of land; undeveloped, raw, beautiful land! And most of that land has sea views. Greece is mountainous. You can see the sea from FAR far away on a mountain top. You don't only have a strip of land that has sea view like you do in FL, you have miles and miles inland of plots with amazingly stunning sea views. How do I know all this? I am an American living in Greece. AND I sell land. We have over 50 plots of land just in the southwestern tip of the Peloponnese alone. There are thousands of Greek Americans. Know any? Ask them what they think of Greece. Ask them if they'd like to diversify in their ancestor's homeland. It's affordable. It won't last long, the northern Europeans know this secret and they're coming in droves. English is the 2nd most popular language here because it's the language that everyone learns as a second language here in Europe. So whether your neighbors are going to be French, Dutch, German or Finish, chances are they're going to be speaking English to each other. You won't feel like a foreigner here. Everyone is so friendly. I grew up in TX, and living here brings me right back to my childhood. Big open spaces, expansive views, and helpful friendly locals all help to make me feel right at home.

Randy, it's a pleasure to meet you!
Are Greeks investing in property in the USA? I'd imagine they are. Have you considered sending referrals to the US as well as receiving them?
That's a great question, Eric. And my answer is an all capital YES. The whole world is watching the RE market in the states, it's all over the news. It's no secret that it's a good time to buy over there. The dollar is low and the prices are dipping every day. I'd say it's good long term. However, for short term or long term, the market here in Greece, is better. The prices aren't dropping. And the people are coming. I honestly don't know the laws for Greek residents and citizens buying in the states, but I do know how to help foreigners, whether they're American or French, buy here in Greece. I'll welcome any advice, but I'll do some research on my own as well. Thanks for bringing up this issue. Very interesting.

Hi Ted,
Thanks for the advice! I'd love to read that blog, but Active Rain says No file Found. Bummer. If you happen to have a copy, please send it my way. I'm sure not dumb enough to say I don't need it! ha ha
PS. BTW, does anyone know how to get these fonts larger? Maybe it's in that missing file....
Randy: Comment number 15 above... is a SPAM comment. The spammer jerks are at it again. I thought Active Rain had stopped it, but I guess not. Just delete number 15. I have already reported it to Active Rain, but if you want to do the same, just click on the "Report a Concern" link at the bottom RIGHT of the comment. Take care... Karen Anne
HI Randy - I've received my I.R.E.S. Designation in Vancouver, BC, Canada and I noticed that you have similar designations. I'm messaging you because I want to expand my international connections. I'm presently building a larger network so that your listings can be featured in my city (for an international exposure), and mine can be featured by you. Presently I have approximately 20 listings which might be of interest to you.
Interested? Look forward to chatting some more with you with respect to co-listing each other's properties, if you are interested in speaking further? Cheers, Jark.
