The Next Trend in Kitchen Cabinets?

Good morning Larry and Sheila. When in doubt default to white and play it safe. So much else you can do in a kitchen to personalize it. Enjoy your day.

Happy Monday Larry and Sheila- I do believe in making a home your space and having fun with it. And even though cabinets can be changed- those would never be in my kitchen!!!

Good morning, Sheila and Larry... many years ago I showed a coop in NY City with a bubble gum pink kitchen... people got a kick out of it, but they didn't buy it. It took a long time to sell. I believe in playing with color where you can change things easily. Kitchen cabinets, not so easy to change (or inexpensive).

There's nothing wrong with lots of color if someone will be enjoying it while they live in the home. But when it's time to sell, they may wish to neutralize it a bit.

Hello Sheila and Larry - "choice" in all its forms can be empowering and its power goes beyond the kitchen.

I've seen many designers offering these "special for you" trends but frankly I couldn't work in a kitchen with that much "noise" going on! An talk about a nightmare when you go to sell! Whew!!!

The kitchen in the first photo is exactly the style I went with recently in renovating my own kitchen.  Having orange or pink cabinets never crossed my mind, haha.

Oh my the pink is a little loud for my taste, I think I will stick with white.  I am sure some folks could rock the pink cabinets though. Hope you have a fabulous Monday!

Hello Sheila and Larry,  I guess I still like a wood finish on my cabinets, not sure if White would be for me.

Pink cabinets would not be my preference. 

When selecting cabinet colors, home owners should consider the impact if they want to sell the home.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! Never would those be my choices, the white was lovely, I can understand some color to highlight, but those choices never.

I think you struck a cord on this one.  Neither of those colors would work for me.  However, depending on other choices such as flooring and countertops as well as appliances, I might pick a color that blends well.  But never would it be a loud color.
