Prices are still up over September 2021, but the sale prices have dropped by 4.6% from last month.
Prices for single family homes have dropped even more - down 7.1% from last month. That means that the median sale price for a single family home in DC dropped from $1,050,000 to $975,000. New single family listings increased 89.3% from 103 to 195.
The median price of townhomes dropped from August to September by 2.5% - from $851,500 to $830,000. Townhome listings increased by 78.2% to 549, although this still represents a drop from September 2021 when there were 611 homes on the market.
Similarly the median price of condos and coops dropped from $474,912 to $470,000 - only a decrease of 1%. The condo and coop listings increased by 75.1% to 830 from a previous level of 474. There were 1053 condos and coops on the market in September 2021.
