Writing a Blog Post is Cathartic

By
Real Estate Agent with Summit Real Estate Group BRE# 01215778

I’ve been writing a Blog Post on ActiveRain since January 2, 2009.  This has been a means for me to reach out to family, friends, clients, potential clients, and those searching the internet for general purposes.

Blogging allows me to share professional knowledge about real estate for both sellers and buyers.  It also is a means to promote New Listings and Upcoming Listings by with photos, virtual tour and extensive description o the house and community it is located in.

I also love to share personal opinions on many subjects, so people know more about my life, beliefs, and personal opinions.  I encourage discourse and love the exchange of ideas.  I feel that this is the primary means of avoiding stagnation.

One of the ways I utilize my Blog Posts is to copy my Monthly Newsletter and paste it into the blog.  I usually have two or three links that need to be included with a Hyperlink.  There are about nine Holidays or Local Events with these links throughout the year.  I also link to my website with Property Value or New Listings.

I know that Blogging is quite successful as I can track the number of people that click on it  I also enjoy reading the comments and checking to see how many people respond with a Like to the post.

To me, personally, the way that success of my Blogging is judged is by looking back over the years to see what I thought at any given time.  It makes me feel great to know that there is a permanent record of what I’ve been doing throughout my career and life.  This makes me feel as though my words might live on long after I’m gone.

Respectfully,

Hello Tony - blogging is not a "good match" for everyone but when everything falls into place, possibilities open.   And they can become open for business as well as connection of many types.

Hi Tony,
I always enjoyed contributing to both of my blogs, personal and professional. I seemed to have morphed over to Facebook for my personal adventures since my retirement 11 years ago. I still enjoy blogging on ActiveRain when it comes to staying connected to what is happening in real estate.
