Carol Williams, Aura Alex, and Leanne Smith, are co-hosting this month's ActiveRain Challenge "Blogging Success Stories". Most members have blogged about blogging successes they have had with increasing their business by reaching new clients through blogging. However, for me my blogging target audience is not new clients, it is Realtors.
While I have developed new clients through my ActiveRain blogs, developing new clients is not my focus, my focus in developing new referral partners, which in my case is mainly Realtors. Through my blogs I have been able to show my experience, and knowledge of the mortgage industry. This in turn has made it easier for me to develop Realtor relationships. There are Realtors who refer their Buyers to me because we got to know each other through blogging and commenting on each others blogs here on ActiveRain.
My blogs have also served as an introduction, when I stop by a Realtor's office. Unlike a cold the first time I stop by most Realtor offices, when I stop by the office of a Realtor who I have already met through blogging on ActiveRain, it is like we are already old friends even though we are meeting in person for the first time.
Some may find it hard to believe that strong relationships can be developed by simply meeting people through blogging. I have to admit I was one of those people, until I met my first AR member for the first time, and it was like we had been friends forever.
Through blogging on ActiveRain, I have also met Realtors through the MeetUps we use to have. These MeetUps ranged in different sizes and locations. I would have never met these Realtors if it were not for the MeetUps, and I made new referral partners through them. So as you can see I am not only a blogging fan, I am a blogging promoter as well.
