Denver has seen flurries this year so far, but the thought came to me - wonder if I have all the necessary needs
in my car just in case I break down. I had to put those scrapers back in the car! This week we are expecting to see snow in the next few days.
Some items you should have in your car during the winter months ---
` Water
` Blanket
` Gloves & Hat
` Breakfast bars and water
- Emergency kit
` Flashlight
` Windshield scraper
and a roll of toilet paper!
The Red Cross suggests extra winter clothing and a utility knife as well. If you have a medical condition, extra medicine should be included in this list. If you should get stranded for a few days --- what would you need?
Cat litter is really good if you should get stuck in the snow, and even a small shovel is a good idea. Be sure your windshield fluid is full for splashback.
Have you changed your wiper blades and checked your antifreeze lately? Maybe this is also a great time for snow tires, especially if you travel in the mountains.
