Native American Heritage Month in Gaithersburg
Celebrate Native American Heritage Month with educational presentations and programs highlighting the culture, heritage and achievements of our Native American neighbors. Activities and exhibits include a Native American Heritage Educational Display at the Activity Center, a reading of Fry Bread: A Native American Family Story at Casey Community Center, and the “Indigenous People in Our Area: Past and Present” exhibit at the Community Museum.
An official proclamation designating November 2022 as “Native American Heritage Month” in the City will be presented at the November 7 Mayor and City Council meeting. The proclamation will be received by by Milo Booth, a Tsimshian member of the Metlakatla Indian Community.
