I read a lot and like keeping up on trends and market information, the other day an article in Money Talk News got my attention. The title “5 Housing Markets at ‘Very High’ Risk of Falling” in the article it says more than 70% probability of it happening and the fact they used data from Corelogic which I know and trust, I was kind of involved with them in my past.
Some of these areas I know nothing about in the state of Washington and Oregon but one of the 5 is in Florida, Crestview-Fort Walton Beach-Destin. Florida in general has had astronomical growth the past few year so understand a cooling off of the market but a 70% probability can be scary.
One of local agents in Destin says mortgage applications have dropped 50% and insurance cost has soared since Hurricane Ian and now as of today Hurricane Nicole bearing down on the Atlantic coast, oh joy! Here is the balance of the list:
Tacoma, Washington
Eugene, Oregon
Bellingham, Washington
Bremerton-Silverdale, Washington
Buckle up the ride might get bumpy!
