Montgomery County, Maryland Hypothermia Alert 

 

Montgomery County has activated a Hypothermia Alert for extreme cold for Wednesday 11/9/2022 from 3AM until 8AM. Expect the wind chill to be below 32 degrees. Wear layers if you go outside. Take extra precautions if you spend significant time outdoors: https://bit.ly/2JdmQ3C 

This is a Montgomery County, Maryland announcement. A big change from the warm weather we have enjoyed.

This is probably the main reason that I would never want to live in that area, a shiver went down my spine just thinking about how cold it is there, haha.

Roy Kelley - Hypothermia can happen anywhere, anytime, any location. I never thought Texas would have an Ice Freeze in February 2021 but it did. After five hours without electricity (my house is all electric) I was trapped inside, not even able to reach the emergency chord with a ladder to open up the garage door to warm up in the car. I could have easily died from Hypothermia and no one would have known for some time. 

Hypothermia happens a lot to people who get lost hiking or riding in boats. When weather changes, everyone needs to know what to do in an emergency. Thanks for raising awareness. I hope many people in your area attend and learn.
