Here's wishing everyone a Happy 4th of July.

Many will spend this weekend celebrating Indepence Day with friends and family.

Watching fireworks, cooking out, going to the parades.

Take the time to be with the ones you love and who love you. Work can wait, it will be there Monday when you return.

Remember those who have, and are in the service for our country. The sacrifices they have made are hard to repay, but a thank you goes along way.

It's a holiday, but a holiday that was granted to us by the men of 1776 and enforced by the men and women throughout history to the present day. Thank You, may we remember you always.

Carpe Diem and make it a safe holiday.

Duane, the real meaning of Independence Day as you pointed out is the freedom we have to have those cookouts and watch the fireworks.

Duane, I love that you included the picture!  I haven't yet decided if I am going to make my annual trek to the beach, it's about 2 million now each year and we may get some severe thunderstorms....but it will be a great day and night, regardless.  I wish you a very happy July 4th!

Very nice Duane. It is important that we remember those who have gone to their end defending our rights.  My husband and son will be in Gettysburg at the 145th anniversary of that horrible battle honoring and remembering those who fought brother against brother to preserve our country.  We must never forget the horrible price we have paid to remain free and unified.  Happy 4th to you Duane

Duane, I think we ought to really stop and appreciate Freedom. And I think stopping and thanking those around us in the military and letting them know our appreciation is a great thing to make every day, but an EXTRA effort on the fourt would be GREAT!

Gary, you are right, without our freedom none of this would be possible. Enjoy your 4th and your freedom.

Duane, thank you for the well wishes! How important it is that we all remember what July 4 is all about. All to often I believe we forget the true reason for this day. Thank you also for including the document as well. We may need to send some copies of it back to Washington to remind some of those up there what it is all about!
