I like Italian food, don't you? Pizza, spaghetti, lasagna...it's hard not to like it. I also like to support local restaurants. Almost all restaurants are having it tough these days and for the little guy facing higher costs and fewer customers, the problem is magnified.

Located in the NE corner of NW Expressway and Rockwell in Oklahoma City is Meiki's Italian/American restaurant. Meiki's is a family restaurant, casual and with one large dining room. The restaurant is not new to OKC, but they have only been in this location for about a year(give or take a few months).

The sauce is what makes Meiki's so special--it's very flavorful, what can I say it has a great taste. I really like his lasagna and spaghetti(try it with the italian sausage). My wife really likes the chicken cacciatorre but I can't seem to get past the spaghetti and lasaga. To further complicate things, the pizza is really good  too. Are ya hungry yet? Is your mouth watering? I shouldn't be writing this right now as it's lunch time and my weight watcher's weigh in day---ouch!

Prices are very reasonable with the entrees I mentioned priced at just $9.95(hurry, prices are increasing slightly in a few days). In a hurry? call ahead for takeout. By the way, this is an alcohol free restaurant.
