Inspired by posts that I see from others, I wanted to begin a weekly series of resources for people in need that are in the East Valley. I think continuing to research this weekly series will also help me to discover what is really out there for those in need.

Employment Service is a network of public employment offices providing placement services for job seekers and labor force recruitment services for employers. The Employment Service focuses on providing a variety of employment-related labor exchange services including, but not limited to, job search assistance, job referral and placement assistance for jobseekers, re-employment services to Unemployment Insurance claimants, and recruitment services for employers with job openings. Brian- we had 2 tough hurdles to cross when I was staffing offices. One I had to get people to go Downtown to work and next was finding people who had been at their jobs for longer than a year.

In our area there don't seem to be job seeks - only employers seeking workers. Nearly every store has a help wanted sign on the door. Even the school district has big signs wanting cleaning people and bus drivers.

I would definitely prefer to see that as well Wanda Kubat-Nerdin - Wanda Can! even the companies that tout how American they are actually outsource most of their jobs and they aren't very American at all.
