Dorie, your post is so timely, I have received numerous referrals from AR and I have sent out to others as well. It is all about reputation and how they behave on this platform that determines if I send one or not.... there are a handful of who are never going to get a referral from me  on this platform, and I had/have the opportunity to send or refer but I chose not to..... ironically more people are leaving CA than coming to CA.... just sayin, Endre

Amen to this, Dorie. I never refer anyone I haven't personally used and vetted or my pickiest friend or client has vetted and approved. (My husband says my middle name is "Picky.")

I prefer the AR agents to send referrals than going through the relocation networks. If there isn't someone covering that area I do my own research!

One time when I had a little extra time on my hands, I drew a little flow chart similar to a family tree with descendants.  On it, I logged clients, and the people they had sent me over the years.  One branch had 5 generations of clients that had descended from that first client.  Referrals are a vital part of real estate business.
