Motivational Monday…Never Stoop
My Aunt Berda taught me so many things…such as how to buy the perfect purse…turn your rings around if you’re in a questionable place**…and Never Stoop.
All of her tips have served me well but none more than not stooping. It was with an admonishment that we (all of the children) were better than that and to do so would only lower ourselves to their level.
So many times there are situations…when working with other agents, or our clients…when we are lured into engaging with someone whom we know is wrong. You know that person…the one who is adamant that their way is the right way.
And no matter what we say or how much backing we may have, nothing will change their mind or how they feel.
The better road to take is the one that is marked HIGH.
When you’re at the crossroad of HIGH ROAD and STOOPING…take the road that will let you still feel good about yourself when you look in the mirror the next day.
Never argue with stupid people. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Mark Twain
It’s hard to win an argument with a smart person, but it’s damn near impossible to win an argument with a stupid person.
Bill Murray
Never try to match someone’s bad energies or petty deeds. You’re better than that. Simply disappear from their lives and keep being amazing.

**Seriously, she was with my uncle and another couple once and got mugged in the parking lot. Aunt Berda had her rings turned under and they missed them but took her friend’s rings.
