Do you believe in a good education and a great Public Library? Perhaps you and/or your family members (especially students), just might love to spend time inside the Flower Mound Public Library. This library was expanded with a new addition in December 2020 after a 12.5 Million Dollar Expansion Project. As a teenager, I always hoped to own a Jaguar but that never happened. However, I would have loved attending Flower Mound High School, because it is home of the Jaguars! The high school is surrounded by Learning Centers and opportunities for all people. The Flower Mound High School is a 6A school competing as part of the University Interscholastic League. Good morning Patricia. Great facilities and opportunities. How many actually take advantage? Just asking. Enjoy your day.

Wayne Martin - Good question! I am a fact gatherer and observer. I can tell you that during and after covid many restaurants, fitness centers, nail shops, and service centers closed for good and did not reopen. They were all replaced by new owners, new businesses. As for the learning centers I mentioned they never closed their doors for business and Zoom was a very important way for students to continue learning. The public library was closed to the public but patrons could still check out online whatever was available.

I do not have children attending these schools and learning centers but I do have clients, past, present, and future. I ask how their children are doing and they are doing great. Many have since graduated and doing extraordinary work within Flower Mound or other places. A dear friend of mine told me her daughter is an Attorney in another bordering state outside of TX working on a Federal Case. I read in the local newspapers some students are now in the entertainment world singing, dancing, and performing well known musicals outside of TX. Still others are in the medical field doing research and development. A few are in Med School, and the list goes on.

I frequently visit the Public Library in Flower Mound. The parking lots are full of parents dropping off kids or cars parked. The space inside is so large, I never had to wait for a chair. During school vacations the story hours for little ones are always full and throughout the year, young adults are inside studying. As a matter of fact, two days ago I was inside the library and had trouble with my iphone after an update. I tapped a young man by his shoulder and asked for his help. He gladly took a look, and solved the problem, explaining to me what happened. I am thankful for students who aren't afraid to help when I approach them.

That is a nice-looking library and it appears to offer plenty of resources for those that love to learn!

Brian England - I like to read newspapers, magazines, books, articles, and just about anything I can get my hands on. Awhile back, I wrote about my visit to the Civil War Museum. Inside the gift shop was a couple of books I was interested in about Winston Churchill's mother Jennie. I did not buy the books but I went to my Flower Mound Library and asked if they had one or both of the books. They did not but said they would see if they could get it from another library. Which they did! I was so happy to read two older books published but not available at Barnes & Noble. Yes! The Flower Mound Public Library is very resourceful!

The library looks like it is a valuable asset to the community and I love that the high school has a dress code.  We could have used that at my kid's schools when they were of that age.

Ray Henson - You are 100% correct about "valuable asset to the community." I also like that Flower Mound Public High Schools have dress codes.
