I first started this off to dedicate to my granddaughter, Mallory, for her birthday and going to play it for her birthday. I NEVER could figure how to do youtube so did not get to. Then I came back to it, figured it out, then deleted the darn thing! So, a little bit late Mal Mal but the love is stronger than ever and know I love you and your brother, Brayden!
In my first version...I jumped from the dedication to spending time with our family members...we realtors tend to put them on the backburner of our life.
I will try to remember the content as best as I can. The main jest was it is summer and we are taking time off (some of us) for family vacations, family reunions, date nights with spouse (yes, some of us do this) or for whatever the occasion. Well in doing so, how many of us are going to keep our ears glued to our cell phones, blackberry's, laptops, etc...???
Enjoy the R&R, yes endure the kiddie rides, the heat, the "are we there yet?", "I gotta pee!"....they grow up...FAST!!! Listen to the words and read the words. Put your family time FIRST...work will be there when you get back!
READ! WITH LYRICS Lyrics:: She spins and she sways to whatever song plays, Without a care in the world. And I'm sittin' here wearin' the weight of the world on my shoulders. It's been a long day and there's still work to do, She's pulling at me saying "Dad I need you! There's a ball at the castle and I've been invited and I need to practice my dancin'" "Oh please, daddy, please!"
So I will dance with Cinderella While she is here in my arms 'Cause I know something the prince never knew Oh I will dance with Cinderella I don't wanna miss even one song, Cuz all too soon the clock will strike midnight And she'll be gone
She says he's a nice guy and I'd be impressed She wants to know if I'd approve of a dress She says "Dad, the prom is just one week away, And I need to practice my dancin'" "Oh please, daddy, please!"
So I will dance with Cinderella While she is here in my arms 'Cause I know something the prince never knew Ohh-oh ohh-oh, I will dance with Cinderella I don't wanna miss even one song, Cuz all too soon the clock will strike midnight And she'll be gone She will be gone.
Well, she came home today With a ring on her hand Just glowin' and tellin' us all they had planned She says "Dad, the wedding's due six months away And I need to practice my dancin'" "Oh please, daddy please!"
So I will dance with Cinderella While she is here in my arms 'Cause I know something the prince never knew Ohh-oh ohh-oh, I will dance with Cinderella I don't wanna miss even one song, (even one song) Cuz all too soon the clock will strike midnight And she'll be gone

Great message, great post!! We love listening to Steven Curtis Chapman's music. Phillips, Craig and Dean is another family fav. Family should always come first, we get busy, we rush here and there, then they're gone and we can't go back. We all need to just stop more often, and give our families the time, love and attention they deserve. Thanks for the inspiration Alicia. :-)
Thanks Brad...means ALOT coming from one of the "Big Guys". Tired for now because after this I tried to get my blog posted on localism...waiting to see if I did that one right. My next reading will be on "tags"...so will be scoping out some more of your stuff soon! As far as music...Casting Crowns, Mercy Me both are great..if not familiar need to check them out! As far as family...never take for granted, they grow up quickly then take off to the West Coast! :-)
