Helpful Tips on What Not to Blog in Real Estate
1. Do not throw sand at other agents - play nice in the sandbox
This is a two-way street people are entitled to their own opinions
Your way of doing business is not the only way to do business. So be nice to others. Listen to what others have to say you just may learn something new
2. Do not be negative. It makes you look bad try to stay positive when writing your posts.
People would rather read positive stories than negative
Show you are a positive person to work with a passion for your business ethics
3. Do not talk about politics. This is primarily a Real Estate blog. Politics is a very touchy subject and you are talking about information that may inflame emotions and could possibly lose your potential and existing clients.
4. Some people could get upset on this one but do not get too involved in religious discussions. You could offend. It is best to avoid these topics except of course it is fine to wish them well on the holidays.
5. Worse thing you can do is write about a problem transaction while it is in process. The people involved may read it and the problem may become more intense and out of control.
