Two Rivers REIA of Central IA -- "Field Rehabber's Workshop" - Aug 2, 2008 8:00 AM

Start the day out right! The Two Rivers REIA of Central Iowa, LLC will offer a "Field Rehabber's Workshop" to develop a Scope of Work Proposal for a selected property to be rehabbed, and to develop a hypothetical bid amount. This will be in a timed, contest format.

We'll meet at 900 Des Moines St, Des Moines, as usual, for some preliminary discussion, handouts of materials, a review of the rules for the contest, and then to break into teams. I hope each team will have at least three members. Last time we did this, we had six teams of three with a couple of groups that had four. This time, we might have 10 teams, I just don't know.

I'm thinking we'll have one group of "Mastermind Mentor"-types who will compile a standard for the other groups to try to "match to sample". I need to put together a better framework for the event between now and then, but if you have any good ideas, shoot them to me!

I'm thinking there will be some prizes for individuals in the winning group, and in the "Mastermind Mentor" group, and it won't just be a cup of Java at Zanzibars -- it will be something nice.
